“A Day Late and a Dollar Short” Giveaway

I planned to run a little book giveaway for Tugger’s birthday in September … I didn’t.

I was supposed to run a little book giveaway for Election Day … it slipped my mind.

Hoping third time’s a charm, here’s a book giveaway for National Young Readers Week. Since 1989, National Young Readers Week has been an annual event to raise the importance of reading.

In the past week or so, I had Tugger and Nico at the vet for separate visits. Tugger has an ear infection that won’t go away, and Nico has a dental infection along with God-awful breath that could slay a dragon. Both had a few other things done while there (but do you really want me to go into detail about their butts?), and what the bills equaled could have been spent on new shoes …

The tech shaved Nico's snout to ensure he didn't have an infection in his facial fur.

The tech shaved Nico’s snout to ensure he’d look like an alpaca. ;)

But I digress.

Anyway, as part of the Election Day giveaway that didn’t happen, if you win, you get to select your prize. Do you want a signed copy of Oh Brother!: A Nico and Tugger Tale and Grumble and Tumble: A Nico and Tugger Tale and a Barnes and Noble gift card, or do you want up to 30 books to donate to a classroom, library, hospital, etc.? (Those copies can be of one book or a combination of each book that does not exceed 30.) It’s up to you!

All you have to do is guess, without going over, what the total of the two vet bills was. (So, if you think Tug’s visit was $30 and Nico’s was $50, your guess would be $80.) In the comments section, leave your whole-number, dollar-figure guess (i.e. $37, $120, $545, $1,284, etc.).

The contest will run today through 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17. (This gives you time to come up with a guess and me time to find the receipts!) On November 18, I will announce the winner.

Good luck!
